DENVER January 12, 2017 State-of-the-Art Chemical Grouting Technology
C&L Water Solutions, Inc, a Colorado and Utah based water distribution and sewer collection services company, continues to expand its suite of trenchless service offerings. Specializing in trenchless (no-dig) rehabilitation, they now offer industry-leading, environmentally friendly Chemical Grouting technology across the Rocky Mountain region. Chemical Grouting is commonly utilized to stop heavy ground water infiltration and leakage in sewer laterals, pipeline joints and manholes.
Rapidly applied within existing pipelines, the technique uses robotic methods to eliminate the need for expensive and disruptive excavation. This specific area of rehabilitation compliments the other state-of-the-art trenchless services that C&L Water Solutions already offers, including Ultra-Violet Light Cured CIPP lining, pipe bursting, lateral rehabilitation by LMK T-Liner®, slip lining, and manhole rehabilitation using Sewer Shield® products.
“Our intent is to provide clients with customized, best value rehabilitation solutions using the most advanced and effective combination of trenchless technologies available. By addressing infrastructure problems in a holistic manner, our clients realize significant cost savings and are able to greatly extend service life of their existing underground water and wastewater assets”, stated Christopher Larson, Vice President of C&L Water Solutions. “We are very excited about adding the most advanced grouting systems available to our service offerings”, added Larson.
Chemical Grouting is one of the most effective methods to economically and rapidly stop heavy ground water leakage and infiltration in wastewater pipelines and lateral connections. The process is highly customizable to meet the unique needs of each wastewater system. With minimally invasive trenchless installation methods, the grout material is injected into the pipe and expands in the presence of water to fill the void and stop leakage. As curing takes place, the grout bonds with the soil, developing strength and stabilizing the ground conditions behind the pipe wall. Finally, the area is tested to ensure the space is completely filled and water leakage has stopped. The end result eliminates unnecessary groundwater treatment, saving customers a significant amount of time and money.
